I have been with Planning Plus Software for 5 years after spending nearly 15 years in the Travel Industry. I have been lucky enough during this time to see the product develop immensely and I am excited for the future. My primary role to date has been managing the accounts department. The evolution of our internal automated systems & documented processes has now allowed me the opportunity to take further interest in other areas of the Company. My challenges for 2015 now include new client data preparation, set up and training. I love a challenge and it is very rewarding to work with others who share the same common goal.

I joined Planning Plus at the beginning of 2015 as the role of technical support and technical assistant. Currently, I am completing a bachelor of Computer and Software Engineering; this role has provided me with an insight into a real world application of the various aspects taught in my course, as well as allowing me to further develop my skillset, outside of a university setting. Before Planning Plus, I worked as a structural steel estimator, which gave me the skills to converse with clients, and to problem solve easily. This role allows me to use my previous experience working with clients, in a industry much more technological based. I am excited for the future, and the advancements that Planning Plus will make.

My working life kicked off with 7 years with Queensland Rail becoming a Civil Engineer. The Vietnam draft system and the lure of great surf took me to Western Australia for a couple of years before returning to Brisbane to begin a new career in Sales in the Printing Industry. In 1992, I was invited to an Auto-Quote, Queensland Seminar and after hearing Terry Flanagan’s passion for this Industry I was hooked, and started as the Queensland Sales Manager a week later. In the 26 years I’ve been in this Industry, the one constant I’ve seen is ‘Change”. This has been driven from all sectors including Work Providers, Suppliers and Customers and the Tools to meet and sometimes lead these changes have been provided by Technology. Planning Plus is today’s Technological Tool for gaining Productivity improvements through every step of the Repair Procedure and in the time I’ve been involved, I’ve had the distinct pleasure in seeing the benefits we claim actually being achieved by our clients – a very satisfying feeling for anyone in Sales.
